Filmmakers Present

Lori Hiris, a college lab technician for the Media Culture department at the College of Staten Island, put together a clue event working alongside Richmond City Media. The events purpose, to inspire potential filmmakers.

Students who participated in the event received necessary clue credits and got to experience an afternoon of great short films.

After the screening, we opened up the floor for a brief Q&A. Hosted by Melissa Pellicano, the event was organized and thorough, going through each individual filmmaker for comments and questions revolving around their pieces and their experiences in filmmaking.

This event was the first screening of Artem Golub's Echoes. The crowd had an interesting response to the piece and the project produced the most discussion and questions about camera work/style and thematic debate.
